  • SYNAOS, a leading provider of a software platform for intelligent material flow, and Mobile Industrial Robots A/S (MiR), an industry leader in user-friendly, flexible mobile robots, announce their partnership.
  • MiR’s specially developed VDA 5050 adapter ensures full compatibility with industry standards
  • MiR and SYNAOS address the increasing demand for interoperable automation solutions.

Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), a leading provider of collaborative autonomous mobile robots, has joined the SYNAOS partner ecosystem. With the successful integration of the VDA 5050 standard, MiR robots are now fully embedded in the SYNAOS Intralogistics Platform. This enables companies to seamlessly integrate MiR robots into heterogeneous fleets and centrally orchestrate them—enhancing efficiency, scalability, and flexibility in automation.

“With MiR, our partner network gains a true innovator in mobile robotics. Our mission is to provide companies a vendor-independent, fully connected and intelligent control over their intralogistics processes,” says Dr. Wolfgang Hackenberg, CEO & co-founder of SYNAOS. “The demand for standardized, interoperable solutions has never been greater. Through this partnership, we offer our customers an even broader range of automation options, helping them make their operations more efficient and future-proof. I look forward to expanding this collaboration and setting new industry standards together with our customers.”

MiR’s specially developed adapter translates MiR’s existing RESTFUL robot interface into the MQTT protocol of the VDA 5050, ensuring compliance with the standard. Companies can now find MiR robots in the SYNAOS Mobile Robot Finder and easily integrate them into their automation strategies.

“Modern automation relies on seamless collaboration and flexibility. This partnership simplifies the integration of AMRs into existing operations, allowing businesses to fully unlock their automation potential,” said Jean-Pierre Hathout, President of MiR. “With VDA 5050 compatibility, MiR robots are now equipped to operate effectively within diverse, multi-vendor fleets like those orchestrated by SYNAOS – ensuring that automation solutions remain adaptable and future-ready.”
